Whipps Cross Hospital Radio won another Gold award in 2015 at the annual HBA Awards.
The entry was a promotion for the station using voices of patients from around the wards.
The music track was recorded by production company S2Blue and was originally used in the 1960s for pirate ship Radio London and was commonly known as ‘Big Lil’. It uses a device called a Sonovox to create an electronic voice.
The judges said of the entry ‘Some of the listeners were an absolute gift for this promo! An amusing promo that met its brief.’
